CSI Case File CC1

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share this layout I created for the special csi/Archie scraps case file. I adored the colors and couldn't wait to get started! Here's my page:

I got a crazy notion to paint on this one and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Now can we all just take a minute to appreciate the fact that my sweet boy has the bluest eyes ever? No photoshop required. Lol

CSI Case File 113

I am so glad I've had more time to scrap lately. I had missed playing along at CSI. This case file was lovely, but the colors included my arch nemesis: pink! Since most of my layouts feature my son, I don't use a lot of pink. I had to dig deep in my stash to even find anything. My son tends to mutiny if he finds "ugh, girly stuff!" in his scrapbook. I decided to use the colr in small doses. Here's my page:

Valentine-ish Projects

Hi everyone. Just stopping by to share some projects I made using Pretty Little Studio's fabulous Birthday Cake collection. I adore this collection!

This first one is a layout I created with pictures of my son and I in a photo booth. We love those things and try to not ever pass one up if we can help it. 

 

I saw this quote somewhere: "We were together. I forget the rest." and thought it would be perfect for these pictures. I am thrilled with the way this layout came together. 

My next project is a cute little springy/valentine-ish card (I just made valentine-ish a word. You're welcome.)

 

This card was made mostly with scraps leftover from the previous layout. Creating things with leftovers seems to be a common theme in my work lately.

The Memory Nest Sketch

Hi again! I am on a roll with these posts lately! Two whole posts in two days. The world might just come to an end any minute.... ;)

I discovered a new-to-me site called The Memory Nest. They have a great sketch challenge going right now so I thought I'd give it a try. Here's my take:

I love this photo of my little guy. It was taken quite a long time ago. He is a big gigantic eleven year old with a girlfriend now. No idea how time could possibly fly so fast! I have been digging through the many drawers in my scraproom and finding all kinds of goodies. This picture was there, and I found these papers that I always loved. I only had scraps left, but there was plenty for this layout. I believe the star paper is Lime Twist by MME and I'm not certain about the polka dot paper. The die cut paper is Studio Callico, I think. The star is by PLS and the ribbon is cheap stuff from Wal Mart. Thanks for stopping by! :)
