Rollin' With My Gnomie

Hi everybody! I'm back today to share my layout for the "Gadget Girls" challenge. I panicked a little when I saw this challenge. I'm very non-gadgety. I don't even use a cutting machine. I decided that scissors, my sewing needle, and my pokey tool (that's it's official name) were going to have to be gadgety enough.

When I got my last PI order and saw that cute little gnome card, I immediately thought of this photo of my boy. He begrudgingly put on a gnome hat at Rock City so that I would shut up. As you can tell from the photo, he was thrilled.

People, can we just take a moment and talk about this Little Lumberjack collection from Echo Park? I mean, seriously?!?!? The cuteness! I decided to build my little gnome dudes by piecing them together, but there is also an adorable cutfile that you can grab for free in the shop! I finished by stitching my title and adding a few other embellies.

I hope you'll play along with this challenge! Don’t forget to join in the fun in the Paper Issues facebook group! And, of course, when you're shopping in the store, don’t forget to use my discount code for 20% off!

Frozen

Hi everybody! I'm excited to be back after a brief hiatus from PI. Remind me to never stay away again. Today, I have a layout I completed for the Let's Go to the Moo-vies challenge. I had this cute photo of my son from eons ago when he was all little and adorable and frozen-ish and decided that "Frozen" was the perfect title.

So, true confession time: I've never seen Frozen. Don't judge me. Anyway, I used these adorable little trees from Pretty Little Studio and some cute foliage from Crate Paper. I cut some strips of white cardstock, painted them, distressed the edges, and reattached them to my page for the background. I decided that a white circle would bring things together and attached that before anchoring my photo and and other embellishments.
