Going Down

Hi everyone! I'm just stopping by to share this layout that I created with my UmWowStudio and 7 Dots Studio goodies!

I was so excited when I got my package of clouds and couldn't wait to tear them open. I just love those little things! I just covered the clouds in a layer of white gesso and added some white paint before backing them with patterened paper from the 7 Dots Studio Destination Unknown collection. I did the same thing with the layered arrow and tab.

The Guys

Hi everyone. Just stopping by to share my latest layout for Scraps of Darkness! I love, love, love their April kit! I've been having so much fun with the color scheme in this kit. Here's my layout:
This layout features my son and his furry buddy, Roscoe. I used an entire page of the rub ons for this layout. I liked the way they were all in a rectangle and thought I could build a good background piece for my page if I just left them in their original state and used the whole thing.

After I had added the rub-ons to the page, I used some India Ink to give the page some splotches. I spritzed it with water and dabbed with a towel after that. I also used the patterned paper to make these folded strips with chevron shapes on top.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Amazing View

I'm just stopping by to share my latest layout with the April Scraps of Darkness kit. We took a little impromptu road trip last weekend and I got the most amazing photos. I used one of my favorites in this layout.
I have been having a ball with the pigment powder from the kit. I created this background by sprinkling a horizontal line of the powder across the top of the page. Then I spritzed it with water and used a ruler to drag it down the page. I added in a few drops of yellow mist and scraped that down as well. The look it created works well with the waterfall photo.
I cut some diamond shapes from the patterned paper and scattered those on the page. I also added some of the twine behind my photo and one of the diamonds.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
