A Giveaway!

Hi everyone! So..... have you ever thought it would be just great fun to go through another scrapper's stash and shop? Please tell me you have. Otherwise, I think I might be the only crazy person who does that! Anyway, I was organizing my scraproom and looking through my supplies today. I found a truckload of stuff! And a brilliant thought hit me! Maybe other people are weird like me! Maybe they'd like to have stuff from someone else's stash!

What if I just shoved it all in a box and gave it to a scrappy friend? Ta da! So that's exactly what I'm doing! It's all going in a flat rate box and will be shipped, free of charge, to one of you lovely people! Yay!

Here's everything that's going into that lovely little box:

- Several packs of flowers and cards by Sasafrass
- Stickers by Martha Stewart
- Letter stickers by Doodlebug and K & Co.
- More stickers by Fancy Pants
- Chipboard stickers by Basic Grey
- 12 X 12 Sticker sheets by Sassafras
- Chipboard stickers by Best Creation
- Ribbon and other random embellies!
- 2 packs of clear stamps by Close to my Heart
- 2 shaped albums by Cosmo Cricket
- and a ton of 12 X 12 paper by: Sassafras (it's all from a warehouse box that I bought shortly before they were bought out), Best Creation (this paper is embossed, glittery, and just  beautiful!), Echo Park, Cosmo Crickett, My Mind's Eye (there's some pretty, glittery, Lost and Found in there!), and Fancy Pants (I think there's a 12 X 12 transparency by them, too). So, how many sheets of paper? Well, I have no idea. But when I stack it up the pile is 2 1/2 inches high. So there's that.

The pictures don't do it justice. This is a ton of stuff! It barely fits in a flat rate box. Here's what you need to do if you'd like a chance to win! I'll give you one entry for each of the following tasks you complete:

- Follow me here on this blog (if you're already a follower, just let me know)
- Follow me on instagram, here's a link: http://instagram.com/sindijeffers
- Follow me on pinterest, here's a link: http://www.pinterest.com/sindij101702/
- Share this post on your own blog so your scrappy friends can have a chance to win, too!
- Leave me a comment below to let me know how many of these things you completed.

That just about does it! I'll announce a winner one week from today. So... Saturday, March 7th. I will have to limit this to people with shipping addresses in the USA, unfortunately.

Colors

This is a quick drive-by post to share my latest layout for Scraps of Darkness.
I had some paper strips left over from my "Walkin' in Memphis" layout, so I used them here. They are popped up on foam tape and have great dimension. I found this Shel Silverstein quote "And all the colors that are inside me have not been invented yet" and wanted to use it on a layout. It so fits my little guy. I even snuck two butterflies onto the page (shh! Don't tell him!).

And now I must go make corn bread muffins because, as we all know, there are days where one simply must go make corn bread muffins. lol Thanks for stopping by!

My Joy

I just cannot quit creating with the Karen's Valentine kit by Scraps of Darkness! We have been snowed in for four days and there's no end in sight. I have been happily creating away. Here's my layout:

I captured this photo of my sweet little guy playing in the snow. He happens to be wearing a pair of fuzzy socks for mittens. We were obviously very prepared for this snow, huh?

I used some of the patterned papers to cut into cloud shapes. I also cut the gold bunting apart to make smaller banner pieces to hang under the clouds. I also used some india ink to add dimension under the clouds and along the edges of some of the crumples paper.  I layered a ton of embellies behind my photo to create even more dimension.

Um, No!

Hi everyone. I just stopped by to share my latest project for Scraps of Darkness. I am having a ball working with this kit! Here's my layout:

I just adore this photo of my sweet little furry friends! They do not get the appeal of all this snow. Caleb and I were running around having a ball, and they were just standing there looking at us like we had lost our minds. They stood there all disgruntled for a few minutes before demanding to go back inside. lol

I love the paper in this kit! It is so very versatile. It really lends itself well to any number of topics. I created the squares in the background by painting over strips of drywall tape (which I secretly stole from the hubby's stash). I peeled the tape off before the paint had a chance to dry and it created this cool, pixel-ish effect.

Amazing...

Hi all! I'm here to share my latest project for UmWowStudio.
So I sort of love this layout. Every now and then I find that I simply MUST do a diagonal layout. I had planned to use some big letter stickers for the title but found that I didn't like the way it looked. I wound up tracing around the letters and cutting them out, leaving just enough attached to keep them on the page.

I painted a few of the layered banner pieces (which I adore, by the way. There will likely be tears shed when they are all gone). I also used the Mini Heart Polaroid frame to showcase one of my photos. The patterned paper has been in my stash for quite a while and I'm sorry to report that I've forgotten who it's by!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back with a new layout for Scraps of Darkness very soon! :)

Walkin' in Memphis

I just created my second layout with the gorgeous January kit from Scraps of Darkness. This kit is so versatile. I've created a sweet little layout of my little boy with the kit, and now this one with some photos of our trip to Memphis a couple of years ago. The kit really lends itself well to any number of themes.
I used strips of the patterned paper from my kit to create this funky, geometric background on my page.  I just cut them to length I wanted and wrapped the end of one strip around another to give some dimension to the shapes. I topped it off with some buttons and splotches of india ink.
I am so happy with the way this came out! Apparently, the geometric kick I've been on lately is working out for me. Thanks for stopping by! :)

My First Layout for Scraps of Darkness!

Eek! I was soooooo excited to tear open my first kit from Scraps of Darkness! It's just jam packed with amazing stuff. I got started right away. Here's my first layout:

I am completely in love with the red papers in this kit. I used the papers to create these diamond-ish, geometric-ish shapes. That is the official name I've given them. ;)

I also used the wire word as part of my title. It was perfect for this photo of my little guy. This is an old photo that I just adore. It was back in the good ol' days when he didn't seem to mind smiling for a photo or two. Now he is half grown and Momma might just be struggling with that a smidge. I so miss the days of sweet grins and hugs. I'm excited to see what he grows up to be, but in sure do miss my baby.
