Hi everyone! Please tell me I’m not the only one who has
trouble sticking to one collection when they scrap. I just always seem to find
myself mixing and matching like a crazy lady. For this layout, I mixed some gorgeous gold-stripe paper by Teresa Collins and some adorable red Christmas-ish paper and black/white plaid paper from the Falala
collection by Crate Paper.
I love the look of red and gold together! For this layout, I
decided to tackle my arch-nemesis: hand stitching. I really love the look it
adds to my layouts, but, man! It takes forever and a day! I will also go ahead
and confess: I am terrible at this! It looks ok from the front, but the back of
my layout is hilarious, full of piles of tangled thread and knots galore. Good
thing no one will look at the back. At least, let’s hope so! I’ll spare you any
more of the gory details, but it ain’t pretty, people!
This layout features a photo of my son, who has just changed so much
recently that it’s scary. Why on earth do they have to grow up so quickly? It
just isn’t fair.
I decided to do one of my favorite designs, a sunburst. The
rays of paper are fairly easy to make by creating a long rectangle, and then
cutting it on a diagonal. It gives you a nice, long triangle to use for a sun
ray.
