Playing Along With Paper Issues

Since I took a long scrappy break, I found myself in desperate need of supplies. I went to my favorite (and, really, only semi-nearby) brick and mortar store, Scrappin' in the City in Knoxville, TN. They also have an online store.  I got plenty of scrappy goodies there. Of course, I still needed more, so I placed an online order with Paper Issues. I highly recommend both of these stores. After I received my order, I decided to play along with a couple of challenges Paper Issues had posted.

First, I wanted to give the quote challenge a shot. The quote was, "There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy". That quote fit perfectly with a photo that I took at my son's middle school graduation. I found myself so sad that day, but happy all at the same time. Could we all just agree that our kids are should stay little forever? Is that really too much to ask? Sniffle. Anyway, here's what I came up with:

I also decided to play along with their "working title" challenge, which required me to use numbers in my title. That was perfect for documenting my journey toward getting my doctorate degree. I used a photo of the cake that my sweet hubby got me when I finished. Here's the layout:

Thanks for stopping by!
